Associate member at the Institute of Nanotechnology (NANOTEC) of the National Research Council (CNR), Italy.

Member of the CNISM (National Interuniversity Consortium for the Physical Science of Matter), thematic area 2 (Liquids, biological and molecular materials).

Member of the board of the doctoral programme in Physical, Chemical, and Materials Sciences and Technologies (STFCM).


Interests:

Experimental and theoretical investigation of the folding/unfolding process of proteins. Aggregation of proteins. Electron paramagnetic resonance of biological systems.


Short academic curriculum:

2015-now: Associate professor of Applied Physics at the University of Calabria.

2002-2015: Researcher in the Department of Physics at the University of Calabria.

2000: Coordinator of the Action “structural and dynamical characterization of metallo-proteins in the native and genetically mutated form” within the CIPE project “Magnetic electron spin resonance spectroscopy for biology and environment”.

1997: Stage at the Gorleaus Laboratories, University of Leiden (The Netherlands).

1993: PhD in Physics at the University of Calabria.

1990-1993: PhD studies at the University of Calabria and University of Virginia at Charlottesville (U.S.A.).

1990: Graduation in Physics at the University of Calabria.
